Party like it is 1999

I have been getting ready for my reunion. Today Ally and I got pedi's and later I am going to get my eyes done. I am so excited about seeing my friends, much of whom I still speak to and have on a semi-regular basis since high school. I will post all sorts of pics after the big night and any other festivities that may occur.
I have been watching Chelsea Handler on E every night as of late. I love this show. She is just too funny!! I know my one follower Cydney loves her too. They sorta remind me of each other!
My lovely friend Melanie had her baby girl, Chloe' on Sunday. I am so excited to meet her little Bugaboo!! Congrats Mel you will be a great mama!!

20 Mule- For CYD-O

My dear friend, Cydney- (check out her 2 blogs: Sweet Caroline and The McDowell Family) has decided to "go green." I am so excited for her! She will love saving money and helping the Earth. I was telling her about different products yesterday and recommended that she use 20 Mule Borax. I am going to try and post a picture of it, but I am not the best at pictures on the blog. I use Borax to clean a lot. It works great on showers, tubs, toilets, sinks (especially the kitchen sink that always seems yuck, no matter how much I clean it), and is a great laundry booster. The best thing about Borax is that for a decent sized box you pay $2.99 at Target. How great is that? All that cleaning for less that 3 dollars. I love it!! Cyd's going green girl icon is Tinkerbell. She is so creative! She has a cute little clothing line she runs out of her home. It is children's clothes she makes on her own sewing machine. I am so impressed with her! I want to sew!! Check out her cute clothes on Sweet Caroline Boutique Blog. It is one of the Blogs I follow!
My reunion is getting closer and closer! I am going to make koozie's for my party tonight with Amanda, Jordan, and Lea. I am looking forward to seeing my friend Kristen, who will be in town on THURSDAY! YAY!! It should be exciting...I have a lot of prep work though!

This and That

We are back at LEP this week. I swear when I am working and we are in school I get so much more accomplished than when we have total free time. I know Hal loves being at school. He has so many friends at LEP. We both adore the program they have going!
Last week we did keep busy. On Monday, we went to Foley with my dear friend and Hal's future mother-in-law, Amanda! Amanda and I were on the quest for great deals and dresses for our reunion. Amanda found a dress; I did not. I did find Hal some GAP kids t-shirts. Since Hal is going to be a big Bunny next year at LEP I have to get him into more play clothes and less smocked attire. I think I would die if a smocked outfit came home with paint all over it. Hal was a bit of a pistol while shopping. Amanda may be rethinking him marrying her daughter, Aubrey.
Laura and Ethan came into town last week to take the boat to get fixed. Hal loves him some Aunt Lulu! She wore him out playing. He slept forever that night!
My friend Julie and I planned out our Ragsland show for August 20th. I am the Ragsland Representative in Pensacola. This is a new gig for me. We shall see how it works out. Ragsland is children's preppy style clothing. It is adorable stuff, I am just worried about having the time to do it!
Back to the BT Class of 99 reunion. I am somewhat excited. Is it bad to say that I am really more interested in hanging out and partying with my friends I talk to all of the time. I liked high school and all, I just am not so interested in the reunion. Amanda and I are skipping the real reunion and hosting a party at her house, then taking a trolley with some friends to the "real" reunion. I got an adorable dress that will be ready this afternoon. Last week I made a list of 90's songs to play at Amanda's. I am way more interested in having an ALL NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Amanda's than trucking it to the Fish House. Oh well.....perhaps for my 30th birthday I can have a 90's dance party!! I had so much fun making the music list and texting Amanda songs that she thought I was intoxicated! When she hears the music she will be just as excited....especially when I play her "Diamonds and Pearls" by Prince. That is mine and Amanda's song and will be forever and ever, Amen! Amanda and I have been friends for 20 years! We have been through every milestone in life together. We have only gotten in 2 major fights in the 20 years we have been BFF. Once, when I stole her Hello Kitty band-aids and another time when I didn't like her BOO at the time. She still isn't quite over the Hello Kitty band-aids, but she did admit I was right about the latter (now she can swallow her throw-up since I made her think about him.) She is the greatest and she will always be my Sweet Valley twin!
Here are some pictures from lately, I am off to watch my man Shepard Smith!

ECO-CLEAN

I cleaned the house the other day and thought I would tell my 2 followers how I clean the house and be environmentally friendly. My sister and I have discovered the magic of Borax 20 Mule. I use it to clean the tub and the toilet bowl. It cleans fabulously, works on a ton of different household items, and it is not expensive. I also use windex because it is made with environmentally friendly ingredients. I love Seventh generation products and the Clorox green products. My favorite thing to use is vinegar and water in a spray bottle. It is really cheap and it is a disinfectant.
If you feel like buying special products is too pricey try to buy products with no dye or fragrance. I love All free and clear laundry detergent. I might buy some Charlie's soap soon though. My sister uses it and loves it.
Ok this post was for Cydney! I know she loves to hear about going "green"!!!

I know I have not posted anything in over a week, but I have been so busy! We had summer camp at LEP, Lulu and Ethan came to town, Blue Angels, My aunt Carol came in town, and then Hal and I went to Greenville! We have been so busy and had so much fun.
The Blues was awesome this year- minus Ethan's boat getting wrecked. That was a low point, but the sun and fun made up for it. The Blues had a great show. I had not seen them fly in so long. It was amazing to see them go!
We went to the beach with my aunt and cousins. It was a lot of fun. It was Hal's first time getting in the sound. He loved it. That child is not afraid of anything, except for not being near me! He loved the sand and the water. We got rained out unfortunately and headed to Surf Burger. I have heard so many good things about Surf Burger, it however, did not live up to my expectations.
Greenville was fun. Hal loved playing with uncle DOOF and his RC cars. He was going wild for them! We went to see the Butcher, but they were out of steak and pork. You have not had a steak until you have eaten this butcher's meat; it is beyond to die for! Laura, Hal and I went to see Miss Joann, Laura's older lady friend. That was very nice. We all also went and ate at Robert Trent Jones golf course. I am not into golf, or golf courses, but I could appreciate the beauty of that course. I drove back from Greenville with Hal ALL BY MYSELF! I was so nervous, but it turned out fine. Hal only whined a little.
When we got back to the 'Cola from Greenville, I had a call from my boss....I got a promotion! I am the new lead Turtle teacher at LEP! YAY!! Turtle's are the young 2's. I am so excited! I love having my own class!! Tomorrow we are back at school!!
Here are some Blue Angels pics....

Happy 13 month Birthday!

Today Hal is 13 months old! He is getting so big! He walks a lot now. He is also teething like a mad man...literally, he is a mad man! Today, Hal and I are going to get ready for our busy weekend. Tonight, he is going to see cousin Larry play with the Reunion Band in Seville Park. Hal loves to dance, so he will enjoy this. He loves the cow bell the best, just like his daddy! =)
My sister and brother-in-law are coming in to town today! Our good friends Sam, Jamie, and Braelyn are too. Joey, Sam, and Ethan will be on The Keeker tomorrow fishing. I hope they catch something good to eat!
Happy Birthday Hal! Maybe Mama will take you to get a milkshake!!!
